Brenda has been a legal secretary/paralegal at Wright & Mills in Skowhegan since 1982. She attended Thomas College and holds an Associate’s Degree in legal secretarial studies, a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, and a Master’s Degree in Human Resources. She is a member of the Sigma Beta Delta Business Honor Society. Membership in this organization is the highest national recognition a business student can receive at a college or university with a Sigma Beta Delta chapter. To be eligible for membership, a business student must rank in the upper 20 percent of the junior, senior or master’s class and be invited to membership by the faculty officers.

Brenda has served as President of the Maine Association of Legal Support Staff. She received the Award of Excellence from the Kennebec-Somerset Legal Secretaries Association and the Maine Association of Legal Support Staff.

While at Wright & Mills, she manages all files pertaining to personal injury claims, criminal cases, real estate, Social Security, and other litigation. In doing so, she answers and propounds interrogatories, interviews witnesses, photographs accident scenes, tracks court and deposition schedules, assembles and structures medical records, coordinates trial preparation and performs a variety of other functions necessary for effective management of civil litigation. She also manages the firm’s payroll and bookkeeping.
