Robert Conkling
Robert Conkling joined Wright & Mills as a law clerk during the summer of 1994 while in law school and remained after passing the bar exam in 1996.
Mr. Conkling has a professional background in social science research and writing. After completing his undergraduate studies at Wesleyan University, he received masters and doctorate degrees from the University of Chicago. He has conducted research in Maine and overseas and has published in professional journals.
He graduated with honors from Maine Law School, where he was a member of the Law Review.
He retains his interest in research and writing at Wright & Mills, which he applies to appellate work. He also is involved in commercial matters, construction disputes, and planning for the elderly.
Mr. Conkling came to Maine with his family in 1979. He has served on the board of directors of the Family Violence Project in Augusta and as a director of M.S.A.D. #54.
